Sublte learningAug 25, 2010 What a wonderfully simplistic manner in which to develop and expand vocabulary and learn to readjust letters to formulate other words! Perfect for most ages!
Great for all agesAug 23, 2010 I have played this game with other adult friends and enjoyed it very much; I have also played with a 6-year-old using the tiles to spell out words she is learning. I liked bananagrams so much I bought my own game set after playing with a friend. If you enjoy scrabble/boggle/other word games, you will enjoy bananagrams!
Speed Scrabble for the 21st century!Aug 19, 2010 Simple concept that totally works. Take Scrabble, lose the board, speed it up, and pit people directly against each other. You will catch yourself yelling "PEEL" and "DUMP" with such zeal that you will forget your playing a word game. The price may be a little high for a cloth banana pouch with scrabble letters in it, but the lack of a box does make it super portable. Just toss it in your pocket and go, which makes it great for family vacations and the like.
It's a big hit!Aug 15, 2010 First let me say that I love the banana and special lingo that go with this game!
My whole family plays this game - myself, husband, 8 year old, and 6 year old. My 8 year old does suprisingly well creating his own crossword, and we let my 6 year old just work on creating words without putting them into a crossword.
We've played this game with our parents (grandparents) who are avid crossword lovers. They quickly caught on to this game and thoroughly enjoyed it!
A lot easier, funner, and faster to play then Scrabble. We love Bananagrams!
Fun way to learn spellingAug 14, 2010 My daughter is 7 and loves this game. We play together, and she also plays herself by seeing how many words she can make from tiles she draws from the banana. It's a great way to practice spelling.
