| | | Description: | | IlluStory is a multi-award winning kit that lets you write and illustrate your very own professionally typeset, hardbound book! This kit includes markers and special book pages for creating an original story that is mailed to the publisher in the postpaid envelope provided. Each book features up to 12 pages with 20 typeset words, and includes a Title page, Dedication page and a special "About-the-Author" page. The author's name, book title and illustration are laminated onto the cover. You have your choice of six cover colors to choose from. Additional reproductions and rush service are optional. The IlluStory kit now offers an Internet production option that includes online drawing tools and allows for more words per page, a choice of font styles and colors, and faster delivery times at no extra cost.

 Fun to do and receive it back bound!Aug 25, 2010
I, shamefully, bought this for my son Christmas 2008 and just sent it in a month ago. I had no idea what to expect back but was pleasantly surprised at how the pages were nicely typed and the quality of the book itself. I didn't realize that they simply cut down the pages that were drawn for the book. Not that it was bad, just not what I expected. The dedication page and about the author page are an excellent addition!
My son is 10 now and really wants to do it again but "make it better" this time. My five year old looks forward to doing it for the first time this Christmas.
I think purchasing this book every year my children are willing to do it will make for a fun collection to look back on and see how they and their interests have grown.

I bought this kit for our almost 6 year old granddaughter, who likes to tell me what to write for a story. When I saw the kit on Anazon, I knew it was for her. She absolutely loved it. She told me what to write and then she drew the pictures to go with the words on each page. I then ordered four books - one for my granddaughter, one for each set of grandparents, and one for her teacher.
The quality of the book was excellent. She just finished kindergarten and told the teacher at the end of the school year that she wants to write another book this summer. So, I purchased two more kits for future projects. First book has a yellow over. She wants to write a book each year and will probably choose a different color for the cover of each book. She is so proud of her book that was authored and illustrated by her.

We created our book online (you use the code from the kit to get your online book.) My daughter loved picking out all the colors, backgrounds, clipart, etc. We spent a couple weeks creating it, a couple pages at a time. When it was shipped to us I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. One page had some colors that were wrong (not what we had created) and I called them and they immediately fixed, reprinted, and sent us a new one. I was very pleased with the customer service! I just ordered two more to give as birthday presents.

We first bought this as a gift for my oldest son when he was five. We all still enjoy looking at that book, as well as the others we have purchased and have had published since then. My kids ask for this kit for their birthdays and Christmas and it's so easy to do.

I bought this item for Christmas for granddaughter who loves to draw, and is exceptionally good at it--she is 7 years old. She enjoyed it so much, I have ordered her a second one. I plan to do this about every 6 months, so she can make her own library which she can keep forever. This is a great product, and I highly recommend it. We ordered the upgrade extras that you will learn about when you buy this kit. Grandmothers, this is the perfect present for our precious grandchildren that they will enjoy reading over and over again. It is also a fun way to document their growing talents over the years.
