Bought this toy for my two year old god-daughter and she instantly loved it. She was able to manipulate the little puppy that changes the settings and she loves that it 'talks and sings' to her. She is a smart child and I'm sure she'll make great use of this toy.

 Why "Zed"?Jun 13, 2010
I'm not sure why this toy uses "zed" for the letter "z" but in the USA, we do not use "zed". I read a review that mentioned this but I mistakenly thought that the programming would have been updated and corrected. I'm disappointed that a letter is mispronounced. Besides that the toy is entertaining and my 2-year-old-boy really seems to enjoy it.

The biggest problem is the letter Z....it is pronunced Zed. Even during the alphabet song, they pronounce it Zed. This is kept away from my nephew now, afraid he will start saying Zed instead of Z. Maybe it is just my product, I was busy so didn't bother with returning it or getting it exchanged.

My son just turned 2 and we purchased this for him as a birthday present because he loves letters and it was just the right level for him because he can identify the letters during the game and feel good about it! We love Leap Frog toys and have never had a problem until now....I was so sad that the letter "Z" is pronounced "ZED" on this toy. I returned this toy because of the defect! So sad!

Use it and test it.May 07, 2010
My 1.7 year old child is very very naughty.
He uses this product very rough.
He throws it from a height of 2 feet very often
He pours water on it some time
He stand totally on it.
He presses the toy's button very very hard.
I always thinks that my child is not playing with this nice equipment, rathe he is testing.
The result is : This product is wokring as it came to me for the first time since last 3 months.
