This playset is a great accompaniament to Melissa & Doug Folding Castle which I bought along with. Good quality and value and great fun for children who can play with them all day long. I'm happy I could buy something for my nephew that he loves a lot.

We purchased these dolls to go with the castle, knowing they would be the correct height for the castle. As others have stated, they are very basic and don't seem to be the nicest dolls. But our 3 year old still plays with them and seems to enjoy them. So far (3 months of play) they have held up but it will be interesting to see how they hold up with two boys playing with them. The joints are held together with a dab of glue and within a few weeks the horses legs were so flexible it is hard to get them to stand on their own. But I would still purchase these over other dolls that are plastic. Definitely better quality than plastic and Melissa and Doug is a name to trust for toys.

I have purchased three sets of these for several of my grandchildren & they love them. They are very sturdy & are great for children with imaginations. These Castle People are perfect to create a time in our past. I would highly recommend this set of Deluxe Castle People.

I was very sad when I received this Melissa & Doug toy. It did not arrive in the great wooden castle box shown. Not only are the M&D boxes great for storage, but in this case it is PART OF THE TOY. Amazon shipped this in flimsy cardboard packaging. Their only consolation was a 10% discount. On the other hand, the character toys are excellent. Great imaginative play. My daughter loves them.

The playset so far has held up to my 2 year old grand daughter. She enjoys playing with it. I felt it was well made and worth the money. Goes well with the play castle I also purchased.
